Mike Hartigan is a Construction professional with 4 decades of Project Management experience in New Zealand, UK, US and Canada.


Mike was trained & qualified in New Zealand as a Quantity Surveyor across all Construction Management facets. After starting his career in New Zealand he relocated to the UK. After 13 years of managing a number of major projects in London, he emigrated to Canada.


Mike has been based in Vancouver for over 2 decades, where he has worked for major General Contractors & Developers managing projects and project teams on residential towers, hotels and commercial buildings. In addition to managing several high-profile construction project he also sourced material and product supply from Asia & Europe to enhance local objectives.


Mike’s career highlights include managing over $3.5B of projects in 4 countries, Project Management on London’s first Canary Wharf tower, receiving the “VRCA Award for Excellence” for the Aberdeen Shopping Centre in Richmond, Resort Hotels and Residences in Mammoth Mountain in California, Lake Las Vegas, Sandestin in Florida, Blue Mountain in Ontario, the successful implementation of the 1st Canadian net-zero heating/cooling system into a two tower residential project, establishing the Canadian construction operations for Emaar (Dubai), local & international research to secure better products for less cost, saving many $M’s on projects and building trade relationships to aid construction, costs & schedules.


Mike studied at Unitech Institute of Technology attaining NZCQS (RICS equivalent) and Structural Technologies Diplomas, he is also a Toastmasters team member and he has been involved in Green initiatives to incorporate evolving Energy Saving technologies into Vancouver projects. His personal interests include skiing, hiking, travel, weight lifting and ancient structures.
