Michele Tung is an entrepreneur and experienced General Manager with two decades of international experience. Michele has managed businesses across Canada, the USA, China and Australia. She previously co-founded and managed Virgo Ventures (Canada), an early-stage investment firm, Mandarin Orange (Canada), a language education start-up, HALO Digital (HK), a manufacturer of professional audio equipment for Digital Cinemas, HALO Building Materials (China), a company manufacturing and distributing building materials in Australia, and Willem Bosquet, a start-up distributor of conflict-free diamonds (China).

Michele was born and raised in USA and Canada but moved to Asia in 2002 to deepen her management experience. While in Shanghai, she worked at the China Europe International Business School (CEIBS), now one of the 10 highest-rated MBA schools in China, PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), one of China’s most active M&A advisory firms, and as an anchorwoman at Shanghai Media Group (SMG), where she presented the evening news and hosted a magazine and documentary show. Michele returned to Canada in 2010.
 

Appointed to the Board of Directors for the First Nations Housing and Infrastructure Council (FNHIC) in 2022, Michele holds a B.A. in Economics and an M.B.A. from Simon Fraser University in Vancouver, BC. She enjoys spending time on the north shore with her husband, 2 kids, and a multitude of pets, including 2 cats, 2 dogs, 1 parrot and 4 chickens.
