The idea for the company was born in India when founder and award-winning architect James Law saw people camp in pre-cast concrete structures on one of his building sites. This reminded him of his childhood growing up on the mountainside of Hong Kong’s shanty-town, where the rain would sound loudly on the corrugated roof of his father’s home.

After his India experience Architect James Law decided that he wanted to give back to the community and that he wanted to design solutions to help the people live with dignity and respect.

James contacted CEO Michele Tung in Canada, his friend for more than 15 years, and asked her to help him found a new company entirely focused on alleviating homelessness. He then asked another old friend Frank Christiaens to help with the fundraising and strategy. The founding team came together from different industries, but with the same sense of purpose and social justice.

Matrix Tower - NYC

The Matrix Tower is a New York residential condominium tower designed with modular hexagonal residential prefabricated units attached to a vertical core structure. The outcome is a tower that has an organically inspired configuration, with unique views and spaces for each and every duplex apartment in the tower, creating unique and one of a kind properties overlooking the Manhattan cityscape.

AlPod

450 sq.ft luxury aluminium pod house equipped with fitted interiors including bathroom, kitchen, lighting and air conditioning. Designed as a lightweight mobile architecture with systems for stacking up into high rise building.
